Dunedin Academic Press

Established late in 2000, Dunedin Academic Press Ltd (DAP) is an independent academic and professional publishing house based in Edinburgh, Scotland. DAP has as its main object the publication of first class works of scholarship and utility in both book and journal form.

DAP is located in Scotland and its list will always reflect a Scottish element. However DAP’s list contains authors and subjects from the wider academic world and DAP’s horizons are far broader than our immediate Scottish environment. One of the strengths of Dunedin is that we are able to offer our authors that individual support that comes from dealing with a small independent publisher committed to growth through careful treatment of its authors. Dunedin is concentrating its list and welcomes author approaches, particularly in the fields of:

  • Anthropology & Ethnography
  • Earth Sciences
  • Education theory and policy
  • Health and Social Care
  • History, particularly church history and the history of ideas
  • International Law and International Affairs
  • Jurisprudence and Ethics
  • Music, particularly Singing
  • Philosophy
  • Theology and comparative religious studies

Dunedin Academic Press now handles some titles published by the Handsel Press. These are listed, where appropriate, in the subject listings.
